As a functional potter, Liz Herlevsen balances art & family in Crozet, Virginia while also teaching full time at The Miller School of Albemarle. Here she is equal parts distracted & inspired by the mountains, trails, & varied culture of the area. The siren's call of earthy wonderful clay keeps her exploring techniques & aesthetics while always producing functional unique objects that people need to keep their everyday life joyful & mindful. Her work is available through her studio – Crozet, Virginia, & the Batesville Market – Batesville, VA. She looks forward to the next odd request for a pot from someone she has yet to meet, and you can follow her on Instagram @redmudhen. Commissioned work will only be possible in the summer months; your patience is appreciated! Wholesale inquiries welcome; retail prices range from $10 for smaller functional pieces to $800 for large sculptural urns.
